Donnie Simpson has impacted many in his 40 years of radio here in Washington, D.C. BET founder Bob Johnson is one of those many. After founding the cable music station, Johnson called on Donnie to host one of his flagship shows “Video Soul.” Johnson called into the Donnie Simpson Show to congratulate him and tell stories about the humble beginnings of the iconic video show.
