The creator of hit television shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, Shonda Rhimes, is taking her talent over to Netflix according to reports.
In a multiyear streaming deal with Netflix, Shondaland will bring original programming to the service while the company also gains rights to the back library for Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.
Rhimes is responsible for the hugely successful #TGIT Thursday night line-up at ABC after a 15 year successful run with the network. While rating have slipped, she is very excited about the possibilities Netflix has to offer.
