Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has decided to ditch his signature $495 Zo2 custom shoes in exchange for his best performance yet at 36 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.

Having the best performance since being drafted wearing shoes other than his own is not a good look for the Big Baller Brand that his father LaVar Ball has worked to build.

When ESPN’s Darren Rovell asked about his son choosing to wear Nike instead of his own brand, LaVar said, “Lonzo is not forced to wear any brand and can play in any shoe he wants as long as it’s OK with the NBA. This is what being independent is all about.”
