The Congressional Black Caucus isn’t interested in meeting with the elected leader of the free world Donald Trump, according to a letter released by the chair of the committee on Wednesday.

Cedric Richmond’s response states, “Given the lack of response to any of the many concerns we have raised with you and your administration, we decline your invitation for all 49 members of the Congressional Black Caucus to meet with you.”

Richmond cited several new policies presented by Trump’s administration that would “devastate” the African American community, including Trump’s 2018 fiscal budget, Attorney General Jeff Sessions plan to “accelerate the failed war on drugs,” cuts to funding for HBCU’s and the “effort to dismantle our nation’s health care system.”
