The Congressional Black Caucus isn’t interested in meeting with the elected leader of the free world Donald Trump, according to a letter released by the chair of the committee on Wednesday.

Richmond cited several new policies presented by Trump’s administration that would “devastate” the African American community, including Trump’s 2018 fiscal budget, Attorney General Jeff Sessions plan to “accelerate the failed war on drugs,” cuts to funding for HBCU’s and the “effort to dismantle our nation’s health care system.”
