In a new statement released Monday night, Tiger Woods said alcohol was not the reason he was arrested in Jupiter, Florida over the weekend.

Woods claims the incident stemmed from an “unexpected reaction” to prescription medication. In a public statement Woods said, “I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”

Woods blew a 0.00 into a breathalyzer test while police have reported he was very cooperative during the arrest. In the more detailed police report released on Tuesday afternoon, both tires on the driver’s side of Woods’ car were flat at the time he was arrested and there was also damage to the front and rear bumpers.
