So last week, the industry was rocked by L.A. Reid’s sudden departure from Sony Music. Now, more details are surfacing as to why he abruptly left his position as CEO of Epic Records… and it involves sexual harassment allegations by a co-worker. According to the NY Post, an assistant within the company sent a letter thru her lawyer to Sony’s general counsel, alleging that LA Reid made inappropriate advances at a holiday party in December. She also claims that while on a business trip, Reid asked her to lie in the bed with him and give him a hug. However, reportedly, sources close to LA Reid claim that he’s telling friends that he left because he’s currently talking to Warner Music Group about a possible opportunity to run the Warner Bros. label.
