The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum issued a Tweet that aimed to water down all the recent talks comparing Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey. The Tweet read, “FUN FACT: President Nixon never fired the Director of the FBI.”
Numerous political analysts and lawmakers began saying Comey’s firing was similar to Nixon’s decision to fire Archibald Cox who was involved in the Watergate Investigations.
The Tweet quickly went viral leaving many to believe the library was taking a shot at Trump. One thing’s many would agree on, Trump is no where near as presidential as Nixon, Watergate or not.
