It looks like “American Idol” has a new home! According to TMZ, ABC has officially closed the deal. There was reportedly a bidding war between ABC, FOX, and NBC. Sources say execs with “American Idol” and ABC definitely want Ryan Seacrest to host the show. The show will be filmed in Hollywood so that means Ryan would have to fly coast to coast for as many days it takes to shoot the show each week. You know he’s also the new co-host for Live w/ Kelly, so just go ahead and add this to his list of JOBS.
Sources say the first show will debut on ABC in March of 2018.
