Tonight we’ve got a bit of serious scenario that a listener could use your help with. We’re here for your musical requests also so call 844-258-8762 with any requests and your comments on tonight’s #OHSOREALScenario:

Shaunte and Terrell have a 16 year old son in the 11th grade.  Last week their son told them he’s got a date for the upcoming prom and then pulled up a few pictures of his date who happens to be white.  While Shaunte already noticed their son’s preference since middle school, Terrell figured he’d grow into liking black girls too. When Terrell asked if he has something against dating black girls, his response was that white girls are cuter.

While Terrell is glad his son is going to prom, he wonders if he should be concerned that his teenage son doesn’t find black girls as attractive as white girls. Should Shaunte and Terrell look for a root cause of their son’s preference? How could they approach this without appearing prejudice?

Is Terrell overreacting to his son’s prom date choice? Share your advice below or by visiting us on Facebook…it’s all #LoveAndRnB!
