Margo and Kenny, both early 30’s, have been in a relationship for 4 years now. Today Kenny presented Margo with her Christmas present which consisted of a nice gold watch and a Coach bag. When Margo got her gift, she appeared shocked and apologized to Kenny because she wasn’t able to find him a gift in time.

Margo then went in her purse and pulled out $180 and handed it to Kenny to buy what he wanted. Kenny thinks this is a red flag and he’s wondering if there might be deeper issues. Is Margo not getting Kenny a gift a sign of the strength of their relationship?
