So who knew Brandy was a little shade queen…?
Now that social media has caught on to the shade, they definitely aren’t going to let the Brandy/Monica beef go. If you remember, when everyone was doing Monica’s “So Gone” challenge, a fan asked Brandy to do it and she said – “Girl Bye!” Monica took the high road… Then, during Monica’s “Where Are They Now?” interview, she talked about the moment Whitney Houston became a shoulder to lean on and how close they were. Well, Brandy posted a pic of Whitney with a long caption that started with – “Everybody wanted what we had/have and I am blessed enough to have been your friend…” Oop!
Now, fast forward to the Soul Train Awards over the weekend… I don’t know how I missed this during Brandy’s performance, but she changed the lyrics to “Talk About Love” saying – ”someone talking ish and letting their whole fan base jump in, got the gram buzz-in…” Of course, everybody assumed she was talking about Monica… Monica was tagged in so many posts she decided to respond to a fans comment saying that it was disappointing that fans were bringing back the “foolishness of the 90s…and that she will forever respect the legend she is & the history they created. She called Brandy a vocal beast…
Again… high road… because we all know that Monica can throw shade with the best of them.
