While we watch the Olympic games going on now in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil we also must remember the history of our athletes who competed, won and were not really celebrated. In 1936, 18 Black Athletes participated in the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany. A film has been released about the things they enduring going for the gold. The title of the film is, “Olympic Pride, American Prejudice.” See the trailer here.
