The McDonald’s Brunch Bounce heated up New Orleans with many celebrity guests and influencers stopping by to drop some major knowledge. The whole crowd (and celebs!) munched on french fries and enjoyed all-day breakfast as the stars talked public service and music.

We asked singer Andra Day who are some of the people she credits her success to.

Stevie Wonder is a huge one; he’s the one who put me on in the first place,” the “Rise Up” songstress said about the legend.

TV personality Big Tigger gave credit to LL Cool J, who is apparently really good at money.

“I’ve had so many influencers, from LL Cool J in the whole financial piece. LL Cool J is good with money, let me tell ya’ll something,” he said.

Grammy winner Tyrese jumped in as co-host of the event with Andra and our Entertainment Editor, Shamika Sanders.

The “Sweet Lady” singer paused to shout out the small business owners, saying they need to be celebrated.

“Celebrities will show up and get all the energy and photos, but the cameras really need to be on y’all,” he told the crowd.

Andra spoke up for the arts, saying she wants to give kids the opportunity to get more involved in the arts.

“I went to performing arts school, so I’m working with the Grammy foundation to bring funding and to bring resources back to the art programs,” Andra explained.

Is there anything better than discussing charity work.
