Someone’s not happy about all the black single mothers who celebrate Father’s Day and after you read this, you just might agree. Blogger Neffer Kerr let it be known that she’s not here for the women who attempt to disrespect black men by buying those Hallmark cards targeted towards single mothers who feel they do the job of both mother and father because their child’s father is absent from the home.
Kerr wrote, “WE jump our asses up to be on commercials that push a broken home/single mother/ no dad present ideologies to the masses. WE are all over social media steadily harping over men who are not present versus celebrating and honoring the ones in our lives who do show wonderful examples of fatherhood.”
