Ms. Michel Wright is known for having the voice that makes you smile. One of the most popular and familiar voices in the country, she built her career as a top rated personality on legendary DC radio station WPGC 95.5. She has created content, produced and written for CBS Radio, Viacom, BET Networks, MHz Networks, AOL, The Howard University Radio Network and SiriusXM. Michel was the original 'voice' of the ground breaking Showtime Television drama, "Red Shoe Diaries." She has been one of the 'voices' of BET and District Cable Television, as well as being the voice for major televsion and radio campaigns including VISA, Colgate, Mercedes Benz and Burger King. She also nabbed a voice-over role in the critically acclaimed HBO drama, The Wire. Among her peers, Michel is known as creative, kind, talented and smart. Her smile like the sun with a spirit to match is what former colleagues say about her. After being recruited in the early 2000's to host music video show MHz Urban for Virginia based MHz Networks Michel's desire to grow to give back to her community resulted in her co-creating an hour-long live variety/talk show called "8101." Michel co-created, produced and hosted "8101" which was her way to provide a platform to eliminate walls of societal stereotyping and to offer a visual outlet for talented souls from musicians to authors to entrepreneurs and aspiring artists. It was a way to fellowship with the extended family of community. Michel Wright really cares about people and she walks the walk in her community all under her local initiative - GetWrightGiveBack. She organizes and leads monthly health and wellness meetups where she partners with local gyms and fitness facilities and invites the public to join her for a workout and to get health and nutritional assessments and information in order to begin new habits of taking better care of ourselves as she believes our health is indeed our wealth. The DC City Council has recognized Michel Wright for her contributions to the community and she has been given numerous awards of recognition for service as well. Among the organizations and issues she supports are: House of Ruth and other organizations against Domestic Violence; Tigerlilly Foundation and other Breast Cancer organizations, Homelessness organizations, Foster Children and Charity Water. Michel Wright can be heard daily in the Washington DC area on WMMJ 102.3 and nationally on her weekend satellite radio show, 'The Suite Spot' on SiriusXM's Heart & Soul Channel. You will also hear Michel's voice on the syndicated Cafe Mocha Radio Show. Michel continues to create content, consult and offer her voice services through her company, Live Wright, LLC. She earned her Bachelors at The University of Maryland. She is also a John Maxwell Mastermind, Landmark Transformational Advanced Course graduate, has been an AAFA & YMCA certified fitness instructor and is a speaker and teacher.
