On Sunday in New Jersey, Rutgers University’s class of 2016 had the most amazing commencement speaker: President Barack Obama.

And POTUS did not disappoint.

During his speech he used praised the school for 250 years of higher education, while slamming the “anti-intellectualism” in American politics, Time wrote. While he never said Donald Trump’s name, it’s assumed that’s who POTUS was referring to.

“If you were listening to today’s political debate, you might wonder where this strain of anti-intellectualism came from . . . In politics and in life, ignorance is not a virtue,” he said.

He also made fun of Trump’s presidential motto to “Make America Great Again,” the Washington Post wrote

“When you hear someone longing for the good old days, take it with a grain of salt. Take it with a grain of salt,” President Obama said. “It’s not cool to not know what you are talking about. That’s not keeping it real or telling it like it is. That’s not challenging political correctness. That’s just not knowing what you are talking about,” he added.

To a crowd of more than 50,000 people, POTUS urged the graduates to vote because “cynicism is useless because cynics do not get much done. They spend their lives waiting for a moment that just don’t come.” In addition, he emphasized that “the system isn’t as rigged as you think, and it isn’t as hopeless as you think.”

“Have faith in democracy. It is not always pretty. I know. Really. I have been living it,” he stressed.

POTUS also thanked the students for creating a campaign for him to speak at this year’s commencement, NJ.com noted. “I came here because you asked. You are the first to launch a three-year campaign . . . I even got three notes from the grandmother of your student body president. And I have to say, that really sealed the deal.”

According to CBS News, this is the first president to speak at graduation in the school’s history. This is the second commencement address POTUS has given this year. Last week, Obama spoke at Howard University and in June he will give remarks at the United States Air Force Academy.

Congrats graduates!
