Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris heads to the semifinals after Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars, but not before he landed in jeopardy.
Wanya and his partner Lindsay Arnold earned a score of 25 out of a possible 30 for their jive to “Can You Do This.” Carrie Ann Inaba noted that Wanyá had some missteps during the routine, but said that even with mistakes he’s fun to watch. However, Len Goodman praised the Wanya for coming out with “guns blazing” and attacking it. Bruno Tonoli was as animated as ever and added that Wanya was, “jumping and kicking like a wild pony at a rodeo,” adding, “If they ever do Blazing Saddles the musical, they’ll cast Wanyá.”
The dance duo suffered a malfunction during the dance, when Wanya slipped on Lindsay’s bandana that was part of her costume. He recovered pretty quickly, but it took him a few seconds to find his place again, and that cost them some points.
I’m just glad that he advanced to the next round.
