The making of 2Pac‘s biopic has been marred with as much controversy as the late rapper’s life. From various actors and directors being attached to the project as well as the family seemingly not being on board at the onset of production, the project is finally done.

Actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. shared that landing the lead role of 2Pac has already changed his life.

“Still can’t believe what my life has become and is becoming. Not too long ago it was just struggle, stress and trying to figure it all out. Now I just wrapped up a feature film and I’m the star” began Demetrius in his Instagram caption.

“2015 threw every curveball possible in the midst of preparation to get this role. Thank God for giving me what I needed to keep going and blessing me with the role” he added.

According to Miss Info, the film, which is directed by Benny Boom will hit theatres in November following the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death.
