“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,” Fox senior executive vice president Bill Shine said.

“Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Ralph Peters, a Fox News “strategic analyst,” called the president a “total pu—” who “doesn’t want to hurt our enemies.”

Meanwhile, Dash is not backing down. She said in a tweet that she was willingly accepting the penalties for her behavior. “Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly,” she tweeted.

Dash has a history of being critical of Black people and making inappropriate comments about African-Americans. She talks down to Black folks and, for some reason, she blames the poor for being poor –especially if they’re Black.

In 2012, for example, Dash called Black people in Louisiana freeloaders who don’t work.

Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Dash: “Has voting with Obama 95% of the time and Obamacare, has that helped the minority community in Louisiana?”

“No, not at all,” Dash said. “It still keeps them stuck. They’re getting money for free. They feel worthless. They’re uneducated. I mean, as long as you are that way, they can keep you under their control …”

“They have a plantation mentality,” Dash said. “As long as they give you this much money, you’ll stay right there. You don’t need to know too much because if you do, you might start thinking for yourself.”

I wish Dash would start thinking for herself instead of reciting views straight from the Republican playbook.

As for her recent ill-advised comment,  Obama expects political disagreement. It comes with the territory. But what’s not acceptable is cursing on-air when chiding the president.

It seems like Dash, an actress, is just playing the role of a political commentator. So far, it’s a flawed performance.
