Hillary Clinton, a possible 2016 Democratic presidential contender, slammed the Republican Party for delaying Loretta Lynch’s confirmation Monday, accusing leaders of blocking the first Black female U.S. Attorney General.

Lynch’s nomination, announced last fall, has been bedeviled by a series of delays orchestrated by Republicans. On Monday, leaders sandbagged the nomination approval by tying it to stalled legislation on human trafficking.

And in a stroke of political and strategic genius, Clinton took her case to Twitter, where she has nearly 3 million followers. Since the tweets posted at about 4 p.m. Monday, she has garnered over 2,000 retweets and favorites.

Indeed, Twitter allows Clinton to sidestep mainstream media and take her case straight to the people at a time when she’s been getting hammered over email-gate. And this isn’t the first time Clinton has taken her gripes to Twitter.

In February amid a fiery debate between parents on the benefits and risks of vaccinations, Clinton tweeted this:
