Talk show maven Wendy Williams is hosting The Soul Train Music Awards 2014, airing on Centric and BET on Sunday, November 30th at 8 p.m.

“I’ve never hosted a talk show like this before but its Vegas because so you have to have some razzle dazzle,” says Williams of her six costume changes during the show.

Some razzle dazzle was in play when she waltzed with Boris Kodjoe during the show. No fireworks ensued, though.

“Oh, no, no! Boris and I have known each other for so long. I love Nicole (Kodjoe’s wife) and my husband was right there. So no titillation.”

Williams says the performances to watch are the Jodeci reunion, and the performance of “Ladies’ Night” with Li’l Kim, Missy Elliot and DaBrat. Kool and The Gang will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award as well.

Williams may be a popular daytime talk show host, but as an executive producer, she’s taken some hits over the controversial Aaliyah: Princess of R&B movie that recently aired on Lifetime. Though 3.5 million people watched, Williams was dragged for filth on Twitter and social media for the subpar storyline and acting.

“It’s always a slippery slope when you produce or star in anything about someone’s real life, especially when that person has passed on,” Williams says. “I absolutely would [do it again.] I love doing the talk show but we’re in our sixth season and it’s affording us the opportunity to do other things. I would do another movie, I’m doing a little acting, I’m in Santa Con on Lifetime and I play a pastor.”

Would Williams ever do a biopic…on herself? One was actually done right before the talk show began, but it never aired. Robin Givens played her in the movie but that movie remains on the shelf.

Williams says she’d certainly consider playing herself in a future biopic….because who could do it better?

Santa Con airs on Lifetime December 13 at 8 p.m.
