Two Virginia churches held vigils Wednesday night for a Culpeper family found dead in their home.
It was standing-room only as everyone here in the Culpeper area crammed inside St. Stevens Baptist Church to understand the pain of why a family of five died way too soon.
The community is still in shock and hurting since Sunday after a mother found her daughter’s family dead, which included three children, in what police believe is a murder-suicide caused by the father of the family.
An initial investigation revealed 35-year-old Clarence Washington shot his wife, Shauna, 35, and then killed their three daughters – 4-year-old Olivia, 6-year-old Onya and 13-year-old Omesha.
