The White House isn’t taking threats to impeach President Barack Obama lightly.

Dan Pfeiffer, one of the president’s top aides doesn’t doubt that Republicans are seriously looking for ways to accuse president Obama of illegal activity.

“I saw a poll today that had a huge portion of the Republican Party base saying they supported impeaching the president,” Dan told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor, The Hill reports. “A lot of people in this town laugh that off. I would not discount that possibility.”

Dan believes that the likelihood of a lawsuit would only increases if President Obama signs anymore executive orders that aide illegal immigrants.
