Tony Goldwyn has been a successful actor in Hollywood for over a decade, but it was his role in Shonda Rhimes’ ‘Scandal’ that catapulted his career faster than he could believe.

Goldwyn plays Fitzgerald Grant, the very married President of the  United States who has fallen in love with Olivia Pope, his former campaign manager, played by Kerry Washington.

The interracial relationship between Olivia and Fitz has had the world waiting with baited breath since the show’s inception.

So we had to know if the charming actor had ever dated black.

“Yes! It was amazing,” he says with a laugh.

While fans wait for the return of the drama on September 25th, Goldwyn has a new show premiering tonight.

‘The Divide’  stars Nia Long and Goldwyn serves as Co-creator and Executive Producer on We TV’s new legal drama.

“Its the first scripted show that We has ever done and it’s based on a film called ‘Conviction’ about a man who spends 18 years in prison for a crime he didn’t convict. Our show is a fictionalized version of things that actually happen.” he says.
