ADORABLE.

Saturday, June 21st, DCTV held a Community Day Festival in celebration of the public access station’s 25th Anniversary.  The free event was held at Brooks Mansion in Brookland, DC, where DCTV is housed.  Hundreds of District residents came out to enjoy live entertainment, food, vendors,  and kid’s activities.  Performances included violinist Chelsey GreenSchool of Rock, comedian Timmy Hall,  Mike McCoy & Voices United,  W. Ellington Felton, Chopteeth Band, and The Chuck Brown Band.  Local dignitaries including veteran journalist and DCTV Board Chair Kojo Nnambdi, and DC Councilpersons Vincent Orange and Muriel Bowser.  DC Mayor Vincent Gray was out of town but sent a representative to read his proclamation of “DCTV Day.”  Majic 102.3’s own April Watts was mistress of ceremony.

DCTV’s Community Day Festival streamed live on DCTV’s 7 channels.  Check your listings to find out when the edited program will run.
