Cheerios recently started airing a commercial starring a little girl who wants to help her daddy have a healthy heart. While the commercial is cute as all get out, the ad agency, Saatchi & Saatchi in New York, took it a step further and cast the mom as white, the little girl biracial and the dad as black. The commercial received criticism for its portrayal of a mixed family and that’s okay because for some, change is a hard pill to swallow.
