Some things are better left undone. Do we really need a movie version of the show most of us grew up watching? Who can be as goofy as Jimmy Walker, without being corny? Who’s in the cast? Is the movie version of “What’s Happening” next? So many questions.
EURWEB is reporting they’ve hired writer Phil Johnston, whose most recent credits include “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Cedar Rapids,” while Scott Rudin will produce the family comedy with Eli Bush.
The movie will be set in the 1960s. William Bannister, Michael Daniels and Neville Mouguel will be associate producers and Eric Monte, Tammie Evans and Carlena Harris will be executive producers.
