Chuck Brown Honored At Smithsonian Folklife Festival

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is adding a daylong tribute to the “godfather of go-go” music, Chuck Brown, on the National Mall. Organizers are designating Saturday as “Chuck Brown Tribute Day” at the festival’s program celebrating the arts and culture of black neighborhoods in Washington. The tributes will run from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
