(Washington, DC) — A new survey by GMAC Insurance points to DC drivers as the least knowledgeable in the country. Drivers in number 51-ranked DC scored an average of 71-point-8 on a 20-question driving test. Kansas has the most knowledgeable drivers, scoring an average of 82-point-9 percent. A failing score was anything 70 or below on a 100-point scale. Maryland drivers ranked 49th and Virginia was mid-pack at number 25. The survey polled more than 51-hundred licensed drivers from 50 states and the District, asking questions pulled from actual state driving exams.
