(Undated) — Oprah Winfrey is reportedly courting Maria Shriver to launch a talk show. The news comes amid the flurry of reports about Shriver’s now-estranged husband, Hollywood actor and formerCalifornia Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock with the family’s housekeeper. Sources tell TMZ.com that Oprah met with Maria last week to encourage her to launch a show on Oprah’s OWN Network. Shriver, a longtime friend of Oprah’s, is reportedly scheduled to be a guest on the final episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Reacting to the news about her husband’s admitted infidelity, the former NBC News correspondent posted a brief statement on Twitter Tuesday. She asked for “respect and privacy,” calling the disclosure a “painful and heartbreaking time” for the family.
