The Pathways Schools provides educational and therapeutic programs for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. We have immediate openings for:
One to One Aide. Provide support and monitoring services as specified for individual high school student. Some examples of duties and responsibilities include in part: accompanying the student to all classes as necessary; monitoring the whereabouts of the student at all times; accompanying the student to time-out when necessary; escorting the student to and from the bus, individual therapy, and the lunchroom; and maintaining a daily log of the student’s activities.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma, but college training is preferred, as well as experience and/or interest in working with adolescents in group settings.
Individualized Student Support (ISS). Teaching para-professional position working with one or two students as a teacher/tutor, mentor and job coach. ISS coordinate lesson plans with certified special education teachers and behavioral support with licensed therapists at the school site. Work with the student takes place primarily in the community.
Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field (such as criminal justice). Experience with young adults in individual or group settings is preferred. Other essential abilities and characteristics include dependability, patience, car, valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
