Overview:
The position, Director of Student Services, is responsible for directing and overseeing the integrated student services activities of the Argosy University, Washington D.C. campus. Major reponsibilities include directing and overseeing student enrollment activities, including registration, student records, and data collection; interpreting and enforcing academic policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations; preparing integrated reports on department fiscal and operational activities; establishing and implementing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; and meeting continuing student goals and targets. The Director of Student Services is reponsible for supervising Student Services staff members and motivating the department to achieve peak productivity and performance. This position serves as part of the campus Executive Committee and assists with the decision making and leadership for the entire campus.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, or Social Sciences discipline with a Master’s degree preferred and five to seven years of related experience, preferably in a post-secondary institution, are required. Candidates should have a an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the integrated functions of college-level registrar, admissions, financial aid, and student affairs, previous management expeirence, and strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem resolution skills.
