The special day is designed to thank local media outletsfor their support and to acknowledge local newsmakers making a difference This years honorees included (Jim Vance) Anchor for WRC-TV NBC-4 and (Avis Thomas Lester) of The Washington Post. Elected leaders and community dignitaries attended the event yesterday as well.
