(Washington, DC)  —  The 40th annual Washington, DC Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will step off this Sunday at noon.  Parade Chair Ginny Kelly says about 50-thousand people are expected to see the biggest edition of the parade ever along Constitution Avenue, Northwest between Seventh and 17th streets.  The parade’s theme is, “A Heritage of Education and Community Service,” and it will feature 20 floats, 20 bands and 150 units.  Those going to the event are urged to take Metro and get off at either the Farragut North, Farragut West or Smithsonian stations.
