The Barnes is collaborating with Mural Arts Philadelphia to creatively reuse our former guest services center. The small structure, uniquely situated at the edge of our site, is an ideal place for art activations that function as a critical bridge to communities near us.
In anticipation of the exhibition Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist, the Barnes Foundation’s fifth Artist Bash features fierce women performing work that speaks to the power of nurturing community, advocating for immigration reform, bringing a private journey into the public arena, and celebrating artistic improvisation.
