Donnie Simpson is the ruling Washington DC radio icon as well as a television and movie personality. He hosted The Donnie Simpson Morning Show in Morning Drive for over 17 years. He was Billboard’s \"1998 Air Personality of the Year\". He is also known by the nickname \"Dr. Green Eyes\" for his luminous light green eyes.

Simpson began his career at age 15 at WJLB in Detroit, where he remained for eight years. In 1977 he relocated to Washington DC, where he began working at WRC-FM, known as \"Disco 93.9“, now WKYS, as morning drive host and program director. Donnie’s star shone brightly as he maintained an incredible run of success on top of the Ratings throughout his tenure in Morning Drive Radio. No stranger to Radio One it’s an incredible honor to have a living legend back on the airwaves at WMMJ!

Tony Perkins has been a radio and TV broadcaster for 30 years. A two-time Emmy award winner, he was the weatherman and feature reporter for ABC’s “Good Morning America” for seven years, and has most recently been a main anchor (and formerly a weatherman) for Fox 5 in Washington, D.C., for fourteen years. He was a professional stand-up comedian in the ’80s and ’90s and was Donnie Simpson’s sidekick and producer on the number-one-rated morning show for seven years at WKYS-FM. He reunited with Donnie in 2018 to co-host “The Donnie Simpson Show” on Radio One’s MAJIC 102.3/92.7, weekday afternoons from 3 to 7pm.

In addition to his time on “Good Morning America”, Tony has appeared nationally on television on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, the “American Music Awards”, and many other shows.

He is also a sought-after host and emcee for a wide variety of events and fundraisers across the Washington area.
