You may recall Spotify announced that it would no longer promote R. Kelly or any other artists who performed “hate content” or “demonstrate hateful conduct personally” on their curated playlists. Now… Pandora and Apple Music have now taken similar steps. Sources say Apple quietly began to pull R. Kelly from some of its curated playlists, but this was prior to Spotify’s announcement. Pandora has reportedly been working for “months” to update its policies on artists who have exhibited questionable behavior. They, too, have removed Kelly from its playlists.
As reported, R. Kelly has maintained his innocence and says all the women he deals with are consenting adults.
