Everyone would like to think that luxurious mane of hair you have in your teens and early twenties is going to stay with them forever. Unfortunately, we all know that’s not the case.  But good news is here!

Japanese researcher Junji Fukuda  just published a paper in the journal Biomaterials announcing the discovery of a new method for the mass preparation of hair follicle germs (HFGs) that “may lead to a new treatment for hair loss.” A key ingredient in this new method is a chemical by the name of dimethylpolysiloxane (DMPS), which just happens to be an ingredient in the oil that McDonald’s uses to cook its French fries and other fried food.

So basically this means if you trying to keep your hair, EAT MORE FRIES! Ok, I did leave this part out. The ingredient, dimethylpolysiloxane can also be found in silly putty, breast implants, caulk and other assorted items.

I guess you can’t have it all…
