About Ric Chill

Ric Chill is a truly the hardest working man in Washington DC radio, having worked at 10 radio stations in the DC market. Born and raised in the DMV, Ric began his radio career at the tender of age of 17 as an intern at WPGC. Within 8 months he was a weekend on-air personality. In 1995, he was recruited to lead the on-air staff at the first all hip hop/go-go station in the Washington DC market, “Flava 1580”. After a brief stint at WKYS, Ric transitioned into a sports talk show producer, producing shows for the likes of Tony Kornheiser, Doc Walker & Al Koken, as well being the original producer for “The John Thompson Show” on ESPN 980.

In 2000, Ric joined the staff of Jam’n 99.5, which later changed formats and became HOT 99.5. While there, he was the top rated personality on the station over any daypart.
In 2009, Ric re-joined the Radio One family in Washington DC, working in a variety of capacities until joining the Majic 102.3 airstaff in January of 2012. Ric served as the Executive Producer & On-Air Contributor of the Donnie Simpson Show. Ric is currently the Local Producer for the DL Hughley Show.

In 2012 the murder rate is on pace for fewer than 100(!) for the first time since 1963. Chief Cathy Lanier, […]

In the aftermath of President Barack Obama’s re-election, well known Republican pundits have stated the reasons that Obama won is because people want free stuff. But according to this article, who really built their fortunes on free stuff?

Newark, New Jersey mayor Corey Booker has often been touted as one of the finest and hardest working mayors in the United States, but his actions in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy go above and beyond his duties to his constituents. While constantly giving updates on his twitter, and checking in on residents hit the hardest, […]

Personally, I have tried to restrict my driving in the District because of all the speed cameras. If I’m not on the Metro, or getting a ride, I stay OUT of DC. I mean $125 fine is a little too steep for my pockets. But reading this article, may change mind… Follow me on Twitter @Chillerspeak

Does Toni Braxton have any idea how to manage money? I understand filing for bankruptcy once. When you’re young, get a lot of money all at once and start spending like crazy, it’s understandable. It first happened to her in 1998. Then in 2010, she filed again. Does she need to take some money management classes? Get a new accountant? […]
