Ari Lennox posted her feelings about Rod Wave airing her frustrations claiming he never protected her. Recently, fans threw objects at Flo Milli while she was opening Gunna. Gunna took to the stage and demanded the audience show Flo Milli respect.  This seemed to trigger Lennox and she reflected on her experience touring with Rod Wave. During the “Nostalgia Tour” she had a water bottle thrown at her as she performed. She posted, “Flo Milli I’m sorry this happened to you. You are a beautiful and incredibly talented woman. Some of these people can be so damn cruel. Maybe I could’ve gotten over some of Rod Wave’s evil, racist and demonic fans, but what made it even worse is Rod saying nothing in my defense. Privately or publicly.” In another posted she added, “The only reason we met was because we ran into each in a Hotel Lobby after constant efforts of me trying to share my gratefulness for the opportunity. I never had issues with fans being violent or evil towards me while opening up for legendary singers and legendary hip hop acts. Those were some of the best tours of my life and really taught me how to sing better. I’m use[d] to men rarely defending me publicly, but it was a triggering experiencing nonetheless.”

WNBA star and Olympian Brittney Griner shares that she felt she was being used as a “pawn” by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In her memoir “Coming Home” she shares her experience while in captivity.  She writes, “Black lives matter. We hear that in the streets, but what is a Black life really worth? Judging by our history, it seems not much, and even less if you’re gay. For Putin, my worth was as a pawn. My arrest gave him leverage in his clash with the West. He was well aware of America’s long history of racial tensions, and he knew how to use that to his benefit.”  “Coming Home” was released yesterday and came in at #1 on Amazon’s best-sellers list.
