The Ivymount School

The Ivymount High School serves students with autism, developmental, and multiple disabilities. The high school utilizes a functional life skills, career/vocational curriculum and is a non-diploma program. We utilize an integrated team approach serving 62 students, ages 14-18. The program provides instruction using a multi-modal approach, in small group, large group or on an individual basis, designed to implement the IEP and provide students with the tools necessary to live as independently as possible. The Ivymount School is a nationally-recognized private day school for children with developmental disabilities.
We have an opening for a a Assistant Teacher in the High School starting immediately.
The Assistant Teacher position entails direct teaching, preparation of teaching/behavioral materials, and is considered a valued member of the classroom team. Excellent opportunity for someone interested in a career in education or psychology. Bachelor’s degree in education or psychology preferred, however applicants with varied backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Experience is preferred but not always necessary; we provide ongoing training in the ABA method and Behavior Principles and Strategies when applicable.
