This week in community affairs I spoke with Dr. Ramona Edlin the Executive Director of the DC Association of Chartered Public Schools. We discussed the shortage and the need for more charter schools in the District. She also mentions that there are abandoned buildings that can be flipped into schools but challenges with the city is preventing that from happening.
