Back in August 2018, Prince’s estate sued Eye Records, a bootleg label dedicated to Prince. The label apparently released 18 Prince Compilations, unreleased tracks, and live performances without rights. According to legal court documents, the judge was on the estate side. The label was also using an online site to sell bootleg music. Originally the estate only wanted $2 million for the violations; however, they were awarded $7 million. The record label has been ordered to remove all of Prince’s property.
