ORIGINAL:

Baltimore City Police is investigating a Sunday evening shooting in West Baltimore that left one person dead and six other hurt.

According to BPD Commissioner Michael Harrison, a gunman opened fire during two cookouts near the 2500 block of Edmondson Avenue. The gunman targeted someone in the crowd.

“We know that many people were out here,” Harrison said to CNN. “It is only with the community’s help that we will be able to identify those responsible.”

Acting Mayor Bernard “Jack” Young shares a similar sentiment. “Someone knows something,” Young said.

If you know anything about either shooting, call police.
