Drinking Beer while Driving a Car

Florida driver Ricardo Portillo-Gonzalez was pulled over in the Tampa suburb of Port Ritchie. He had been observed swerving and hitting guardrails on opposite sides of the road. When officers administered a breathalyzer, Mr. Portilli-Gonzalez blew a .66. That’s a POINT SIXTY-SIX!

As most (should) know, the legal limit to drive is .08. This man blew SIX TIMES the legal limit! It’s absolutely amazing that he was alive, let alone able to “drive” a vehicle or stand. However, as incredible a number as this gentleman’s blood alcohol concentration (bac) is, it’s not even close to the highest recorded bac on record.

After a car crash that resulted in serious injuries, a Polish man’s BAC was taken and it was 1.480%. That’s the highest BAC ever recorded in known history. Doctors said he survived his brush with death due to drinking, but he later died due to his injuries from the car crash.

I’m sure this doesn’t need to be said…DON’T try this at home!
