We’re here to end your weekend the right way with the Summer Mini Concert Series ! Tonight we’ll highlight the music of R&B and funk band Con Funk Shun also known as “Project Soul”. Some of their musical influences include; Chaka Khan and The Commodores. They’ve also had top ten hits on the U.S. Billboard black singles chart such as, “Ffun” which was #1 in 1977. In September 2014 a few members of the group received a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National R&B Music Society . Many artist have sampled their beats like Lil Wayne and Dru Hill.
