Barbara and Henry have been together for three years. Barbara says that she moved to be with Henry after his divorce two years ago. She just found out that he signed sponsorship papers for his ex wife’s new husband who is coming from Africa, that will make him responsible financially for the next 10 years. The worst part is that he didn’t even speak with her about it before signing the agreement and even though it could affect their finances, says it shouldn’t affect their relationship. Henry no longer wants to speak about the issue and Barbara feels this could have an effect on their plans to retire soon. She is looking for advice on how to deal with this issue and the man she loves.
