Sherese and Russ are newlyweds. Russ’s mother passed away a week before Sherese’s birthday. With his grieving and having to plan the funeral, he forgot his wife’s birthday; however he forgot her birthday last year as well. Sherese understands the circumstances this year but she’s beginning to feel like her birthdays aren’t important to him anymore. Sherese is wondering if she is going to seem petty when she brings up his treatment of her birthday in a few months or should she just make her own plans in the future for her day?
