Timothy Coggins was only 23-years-old when his life was taken 34 years ago in Georgia. Yesterday, two white men were charged with his murder after police reopened the cold case from three decades ago.
Griffin Judicial Circuit District Attorney Ben Coker told the judge “The murder of Timothy Coggins was due to Coggins socializing with a white female.”
The prosecutor said Coggins was dragged through the woods behind a pickup truck and died from being stabbed, cut and suffered “seriously disfiguring” wounds.
