Christine has a 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. Every year she goes all out during the holidays for her kids, buying them whatever they want for Christmas. Christine thinks the kids are old enough to learn the lesson of volunteering and giving this year instead of receiving gifts. She’s considering taking the kids to Houston to sponsor another family’s Christmas and do some volunteer work. The kids’ father disagrees and thinks they should let the youngest enjoy a few more Christmas’ before taking away gifts. Should Christine continue with her plans or wait a few more years to start this new giving tradition?
